Greetings from Strategic Initiative for Korean Studies(SIKS) in the Academy of Korean Studies.
This is Ms. InYoung Jung working at SIKS here in Korea.
I am just writing to request you to post our 2010 SIKS projects announcement to the Korean Studies discussion list members.

Announcement: 2010 Korean Studies Grant
Strategic Initiative for Korean Studies (SIKS), which is part of the Academy of Korean Studies (AKS), is pleased to invite applications for the 2010 Korean studies grants. SIKS grants for 2010 fall into the following five areas: 1) English Translation of Korean Classics Library 100, 2) Publication Grant, 3) Curriculum and Teaching Materials for Global Korean Studies, 4) Korean Studies Institution Grant, and 5) Laboratory for the Globalization of Korean Studies. Especially, Laboratory for the Globalization of Korean Studies is a new long-term project. Members of a lab may consist of two or more scholars. The annual amount per lab is 300 million KRW, up to a total of five years (up to 1.5 billion KRW). Depending on the review results of the first five-year project, grant may be extended (five additional years, up to 1.5 billion KRW). We welcome applications for all SIKS projects in 2010, not only from Korean studies scholars but from researchers in other disciplinary studies or comparative studies as well.
