The Columbia University Department of East Asian Languages and Cultures invites applications for a position in pre-20th century Korean history at the Assistant Professor rank, to begin in the Fall semester of 2012. Ph.D. required at the time of the appointment. The appointee will teach at both the graduate and undergraduate levels and is expected to work with fellow faculty in the Department of East Asian Languages and Cultures, the History Department, and other university institutions in the development of Korean studies research, teaching, and programming at Columbia.
